Position Reports to: Area Director
Strong leadership and pro-active thinking skills are key to success within this dynamic organization. We offer a competitive salary, paid vacation and medical benefits after 90 days of employment. Special Olympics Arizona is searching for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team.
This position provides administrative support to the Area Director and Development Staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: calendar management (scheduling meetings and appointments); preparation of presentations; maintain and publish agendas for various meetings along with attending and capturing the actions items from these meetings; pro active follow-up on deliverables and commitments; data entry; report generation and more. Incumbent is expected to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, athletes, volunteers and community partners.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports and documentation. Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees.

Special Olympics Arizona is always seeking motivated and responsible interns to assist the Events and Sports departments in projects and upcoming events. These internships provide great opportunities for college students to gain valuable work experience in a fun, fast-paced nonprofit organization.
