Special Announcements: Special Olympics Arizona Program Phoenix - Maricopa
July 21, 2010 Hello, My name is Eliah Dixon, I am your new Area Director for the Phoenix Special Olympics, Maricopa Area. I am honored to be in this position and I hope to keep the area running as smooth as it’s been in past years. I have worked with individuals with disabilities for over 10 years and have been involved with Special Olympics for the past 4 years. In the last 4 years I‘ve enjoyed working with coaches, teachers and previous area director Phyllis Kelly, HOD’s and hope we can continue building good relationships to make Phoenix Special Olympics, Maricopa Area a great place to train and compete. The purpose of this letter is to introduce myself and inform everyone about what is happening in the Maricopa area. As we all know Special Olympics Arizona is going through some reorganization and many changes are being made. Most of the competitions will be the same, but some locations may change. All registrations and delegation forms will now be posted online not mailed and they will need to be completed then mailed, emailed or faxed in. Registrations will be due on the registration deadlines, or your delegation will miss out on that competition. Everyone should receive a calendar of events, so please be aware of the posting dates, deadlines and location changes. I look forward to meeting all of you and I hope we can work together to make the Special Olympics Maricopa area a success with training our athletes.
